Entity discovery
A work of fiction.
Spectral Vision does not detect ghosts, spirits, or paranormal activity of any kind. Every reading, anomaly, and entity is procedurally generated by game rules running entirely on your device. It is entertainment — played in the real world, invented entirely in software.
What Spectral Vision does
Live Scanner
Point your camera at the world and watch fictional spectral readings react to your surroundings in real-time.
Field Journal
Every encounter is logged with a captured thumbnail and fictional entity record, saved only on your device.
Signal Tracking
Follow mysterious signal trails across locations using your phone's motion sensors, compass and ambient light.
Weather Influence
Local weather conditions shape the fictional readings — rainy nights produce different results than clear skies.
Spirit Tether
Transfer a fictional entity directly to a friend's phone by scanning a QR code. No internet required.
Share Cards
Generate shareable encounter images of your fictional findings to share with friends.
Your phone. Your game. Your data.
Spectral Vision has no backend, no accounts, and no analytics. What happens in the game stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions
Is Spectral Vision real? Does it actually detect ghosts?
No. Spectral Vision is a fictional entertainment game. It does not detect ghosts, spirits, or paranormal activity of any kind. Every reading, anomaly and entity is procedurally generated by game rules on your device.
Does it need an internet connection?
Spectral Vision works fully offline. If you grant location permission, the app makes one anonymous, city-scale weather request to Open-Meteo to influence the fictional readings. If you deny location permission, no network requests are made at all.
Does Spectral Vision need an account?
No. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no profile. The game works immediately after install.
What permissions does the app use?
Camera (for the scanner view and journal thumbnails), microphone (ambient loudness as a fictional detection input), location (to vary the world and fetch local weather), and motion/light sensors (for the signal-tracking mechanic). All permissions are optional — the game degrades gracefully if you decline any of them.
How do I delete my data?
Open Spectral Vision → Settings → Purge Archive to remove all journal entries and images. Alternatively, uninstalling the app removes everything. There is nothing on any server to delete. See the Data Deletion page for full details.
Is Spectral Vision suitable for children?
Spectral Vision presents mild spooky themes — fictional ghosts, ominous text and sounds — and is rated 7+. It contains no chat, no advertising, no purchases, and no data collection.
