Data Deletion — Spectral Vision

The short version. Almost everything Spectral Vision creates livesonly on your phone, and you delete it there. The one exception isThe Network: if you ever set a ghost loose, our server keeps an anonymous record and the spot that ghost haunts. You can erase that from the app at any time — and if you don’t, it erases itself.

You never need to ask us: every deletion below is instant and done by you.

On your phone

Delete one journal entry. Open it in the Field Journal and delete it. Its captured picture is deleted too.
Delete your whole journal. Settings → Purge Archive permanently removes every journal entry and picture.
Uninstall the app. This removes the app and all its data from your phone. If your phone backs up apps to your Google account, Android may keep a copy there and restore it if you reinstall — manage that in your phone’s Google backup settings.

On our server (The Network)

This only applies if you joined The Network and set a ghost loose. If you never did, we hold nothing about you.

Delete everything at once. Settings → Delete my Network datacalls your ghost home and erases your anonymous record from our server immediately. It can’t be undone, and your journal on your phone is not affected.
Just call your ghost home. Open the ghost in your journal and tapCall it home. It stops haunting right away.
Or do nothing. A ghost you set loose fades after 7 days. Your anonymous record is erased 90 days after you last set a ghost loose. The app shows that date in Settings and reminds you 10 days before.

If you no longer have the app

Your Network record is anonymous: it has no name, email or phone number attached, so we can’t find it from a request — and neither can anyone else. You don’t need to do anything: any ghost you left fades within 7 days, and the record is erased automatically within 90 days of your last ghost.

What exists, and for how long

  • On your phone — journal entries, pictures, settings, game history: until you delete them or uninstall.
  • On our server — a ghost you set loose (the spot it haunts, its game details, the time): 7 days. Your anonymous record (a random ID, a scrambled key, the date of your last ghost): 90 days after your last ghost.
  • Weather lookups go to Open-Meteo rounded to about 11 km, with nothing that identifies you. We store nothing from them.
